Florida-based fast-casual brand Carrot Express has another New York location in the pipeline. It is “coming soon” to 2169 Broadway on the Upper West Side, according to the Carrot Express website.

The brand has three existing spots in Manhattan in the Flatiron District, Bryant Park and Lexington. The remainder of its locations are in Florida, with 25 locations centered in and near its home market of Miami.

It has two other locations on the way to New York City, including one heading to Nolita and one under development at Brookfield Place.

The brand, launched by Mario Laufer in Miami Beach in 1993, invites customers to “Eat healthy! Eat delicious!” They offer all-day breakfast, coffee, baked goods, lunch and dinner, with menu items that aim to encourage healthy eating.

“Since the onset of the brand, Carrot Express has maintained its steadfast commitment to providing healthy, delicious food to the communities it serves, and prides itself on offering a creative and extensive menu based on natural, high-quality ingredients,” the website states. “Breakfast, lunch and dinner options feature seasonal and fresh produce, and can be enjoyed in a fun, comfortable and relaxed environment.”

The menu features breakfast items like overnight oats and avocado toast; soups; salads; power bowls; wraps; sandwiches; loaded sweet potatoes; refreshers; smoothies; cold-pressed juices; and coffee and tea options.

In an interview with What Now New York earlier this year, Michael Schatten, the senior vice president of operations, shared that the brand is pushing for expansion in both Florida and the New York market.

“For our future growth, we see plenty of room still in the South Florida market, and down the road, we see Manhattan and Brooklyn as large opportunities for growth,” Schatten told What Now New York in a previous interview. “Moving forward, we want to get big in New York City.”

The opening timeline for the Upper West Side location has not been announced yet. Previously, Schatten shared that the Brookfield Place location was slated to open this summer, but development details for the other forthcoming New York locations remain unclear.
