A New American restaurant known as Present Momentz is looking to open at 96 Orchard Street, according to paperwork filed with the community board.

Present Momentz, helmed by Timothy Christakis and Adam Webster, has been holding pop-ups throughout the year, launching with a pop-up at The Sylvester Bar in Miami in February, according to the Present Momentz Instagram page.

“Present Momentz is here for the voices that carry culture, memory and meaning — keeping communities alive,” a recent post stated. “For the builders, artists, thinkers and the ones who turn ideas into experiences. Bars are our blank canvas, and together, we create something new every day.”

Christakis has bartending experience at local spots Sip & Guzzle and Mister Paradise.

Filed paperwork indicates that the forthcoming spot on the Lower East Side is slated to have a menu featuring small plates such as smoked tuna dip; salads and protein-driven bowls; and sandwiches like turkey and pesto, roast beef and cheddar, and chopped Italian.

Plans call for two indoor tables that will seat 12 as well as one stand-up bar that will seat 12. The proposed hours of operation are 4 p.m. to 12 a.m. Sunday through Wednesday, 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Thursday and 3 p.m. to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday.

The Present Momentz team declined to comment further on the concept at this time. However, they expect to release more details in the coming weeks.
