Restaurateur Michael Mroue’s newest dining and cocktail venture is set to debut at the brand-new Merchant Hotel, located at 139 Orchard Street at on the Lower East Side.
Mroue confirmed that Atelier LES will partner with the hotel—operated by Sonder and owned by Kaliman Equities—to provide food and beverage services under the name “Casa M,” starting this summer.
“[Casa M] will include a bar and restaurant, as well as a rooftop terrace and beer garden,” Mroue told What Now NY.
While specific plans for the in-construction bar, restaurant, and beer garden are still under wraps, Mroue’s reputation as a visionary restaurateur proceeds him. His restaurants include Mediterranean favorites Mercato Rustico and Vicolina.
