PRINT and The Press Lounge closed on the ground floor and rooftop, respectively, of the Ink 48 Hotel in Hell’s Kitchen earlier this year.

Now, filed paperwork indicates that a new restaurant concept will take over the two spaces in the hotel at 653 11th Avenue.

Gil Rubenstein has filed paperwork at the location under Hudson VU Rooftop LLC, listing the restaurant name as “TBD.” Rubenstein is also involved in ownership for Green Fig, a New American restaurant located in Times Square.

The ground-floor restaurant concept appears to be a prix fixe concept featuring a full-service menu. Proposed menu items include flatbreads, salads and soups, and protein-heavy entrees like apple cider glazed salmon, Atlantic swordfish and filet mignon. Like Green Fig, the concept appears to be New American.

The ground-floor establishment will feature 31 tables that will seat 100 guests, as well as one stand-up bar that will seat nine.

The rooftop concept will serve a different menu, focusing on small plates, flatbreads and limited larger meal options such as grain bowls, seared Atlantic salmon and grilled Caesar salad. The rooftop has plans for 23 tables that will seat a total of 72 customers, one service bar and one stand-up bar that seats 10.

When The Press Lounge was still open on the Ink 48 Hotel roof, the space was known for its views of the Manhattan skyline.

As of now, it is unclear what the exact timeline is for opening of the new establishments. The Ink 48 Hotel currently has no dining options listed on its website.
