Reuland Electric Co. has voluntarily commenced a Chapter 11 process. Court records do not specify a reason that may have prompted the company toward bankruptcy filing. The 89-year-old company has been serving as a manufacturer of custom electric motors over the years.

Note: Chapter 11 allows businesses to reorganize their debts while continuing operations under court supervision. A Chapter 11 filing does not necessarily mean that a business is closing. For additional information, readers are encouraged to contact the business directly.

Court records, as available on the PACER database, show that the company submitted its petition on September 3, 2026. The proceedings are taking place in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Tennessee (Nashville Division).

Authorized representative Grant R. Bibby, who is the president and CEO of Reuland Electric Co., signed the petition prior to filing.

The filing comes months after the company announced an expansion of its motor manufacturing operations in February 2026.
