Lucky BB Restaurant Lounge has been closed after a recent inspection showed another violation by the establishment. After uncovering rodent infestation during a previous inspection, the establishment is facing issues related to sewage and wastewater disposal this time. The Orange County Health Care Agency – Environmental Health Division received a complaint against the establishment, and conducted the inspection.

A representative of the Environmental Health department met with the owner of the establishment outside the operating hours. During this, the representative observed that the grease interceptor behind the facility had been leaking into the alleyway. This would happen whenever the fixtures were run and the toilets were flushed.

The grease interceptor was not seen leaking from the cover, but from an opening that was near the interceptor. Photographic evidence was collected, and officials confirmed that the source of the leak was linked to the establishment. An order to immediately clean the area and repair the plumbing was issued. The establishment is to remain closed until this has been taken care of. A detailed health report can be found online.

Follow-Up Inspection

The establishment’s health permit was suspended after the inspection. The management can request a hearing within the next 15 days to show why their permit suspension is not warranted.

Apart from this, the agency has arranged for a compliance hearing due to multiple sewage closures. The establishment will be provided a chance to present evidence as to why their permit should not be suspended, modified, or revoked.
