Orange County Restaurants Health Inspection Report October 2025

The Orange County Health Care Department cited several restaurants for violating health and sanitation standards during routine inspections and conducted follow-up visits.

In October 2025, the Orange County Health Department conducted routine inspections at several restaurants. Three establishments were cited for health code violations, resulting in temporary closures and suspended health permits. Follow-up inspections were completed for Michael’s Kitchen and i4 Coffee, both of which passed and had their permits reinstated. Taqueria Guerrero remains closed and awaits reinspection.

Restaurants Temporarily Closed During Routine Inspections but Passed Reinspections

Two Orange County restaurants failed their routine inspections in October and were ordered to close and had their health permits suspended. The health department later conducted follow-up inspections, and both i4 Coffee and Michael’s Kitchen passed. Their permits have since been reinstated, allowing them to resume operations.

On October 27, a reinspection was conducted at Michael’s Kitchen at the request of owner V. Hoang. The restaurant was ordered closed on October 23 due to a cockroach infestation.

According to the reinspection report, all prior violations were corrected, and the cockroach issue was resolved. The restaurant provided a pest control invoice dated October 25, 2025.

Upon reinspection, the department has reinstated the health permit to operate and has also issued a follow-up inspection dated November 17 to ensure the facility remains pest-free.

i4 Coffee

A routine inspection took place at i4 Coffee, a Vietnamese coffee shop, on October 27. The coffee destination was closed due to a cockroach infestation. A follow-up inspection was conducted on October 30; the reinspection was requested by the operator, B. Le.

According to the reinspection report, inspectors found no vermin activity, and the operator provided a pest control receipt dated October 28, 2025.

The official reinspection report stated that i4 Coffee’s health permit has been reinstated, and a follow-up inspection is scheduled for November 14 to ensure the remaining issues are also resolved. The reinspection report noted that the restaurant floors under the coolers and in the restroom dry storage area were cleaned and sanitized, and wall gaps below the 3-compartment sink were sealed.

Restaurant Ordered Closed After Routine Inspection, Awaiting Reinspection

Taqueria Guerrero remains closed after the routine inspection conducted on October 15. Orange County will evaluate the restaurant’s compliance and sanitation standards during reinspection.

The Orange County Health Department conducted a routine health inspection at Taqueria Guerrero on October 15. The restaurant was flagged for multiple health code violations and sanitation issues.

According to the official inspection report, inspectors found both dead and live cockroaches in several parts of the kitchen, including under the grill, behind beverage coolers, and near storage boxes. Uncovered food containers were also found in the restaurant’s coolers and prep stations.

According to the report, the restaurant was ordered to close temporarily. It must correct all violations before a reinspection, during which compliance will be evaluated.

The recent inspections and reinspections reflect the Health Department’s continued oversight of food safety and sanitation in Orange County.
