Inspection Findings at Starbucks Coffee Company
Food inspectors of the Orange County Health Care Agency reported that during the inspection an electrical fire started behind two refrigeration units in Starbucks’ rear kitchen area. Explaining details, inspectors pointed out fire damage at the wall and ceiling.
Apart from the fire damage, the officials noted water accumulation from the fire sprinklers in the surrounding area of the shelving units, racks, and 3-compartment sink. The under-counter refrigeration units and 1-door upright cooler were observed to have items at temperatures beyond the required 41°F.
The inspection report added that there were a few missing ceiling panels above the refrigeration units at the Orange County-based establishment.
The location was closed due to fire damage, which was classified as a serious violation. As of now, no reinspection date has been announced. However, the food inspectors reiterated in their inspection report that the Orange County-based eating establishment must take corrective action.
