A new wine shop and wine bar is set to open in the Lantern District of Dana Point. According to records from the Orange County Health Care Agency (OCHCA), Wine Experience was recently approved for plans for a space at 34137 Golden Lantern, not far from the beach.

The Wine Experience will provide a sophisticated experience with curated wine selections, innovative wine-by-the-glass dispensers, and gourmet charcuterie boards. It will be a mix of a wine shop and a tasting bar.

Michael Davis, a seasoned professional sommelier with certifications from the Court of Master Sommeliers and WSET, is the driving force behind this exciting new venture. He spent nearly ten years co-owning and operating A Hidden Vine on the Lake in Mission Viejo, according to the Dana Point Chamber of Commerce.

The space appears to currently be under construction, with a “coming soon” sign posted in the window recently. It’s anticipated that the opening will happen this summer. Parking enhancements are also being made nearby at Dana Point Harbor.
