Avatar Coffee Roasters, a Southern California specialty coffee company, is getting ready to open a new cafe in Menifee at 30075 Haun Road.
The company’s third location is set to move into the former home of Pieology Pizzeria near the Countryside Marketplace shopping center, according to a liquor license application. While an exact opening date has yet to be announced, the filing signals plans for a full cafe buildout in the space. Avatar Coffee Roasters currently operates in Santa Ana and Montclair. Customers can expect a menu centered on specialty coffee, tea beverages, and a full selection of breakfast and lunch items.
Avatar Coffee Roasters launched its first cafe at 1951 East Dyer Road in Santa Ana, where it roasts and serves small batch specialty beans. The company later expanded with a dedicated roastery in Montclair at 4070 Mission Boulevard. The brand emphasizes sourcing beans from family-owned farms around the world and roasting them in-house. Weekly deliveries of freshly roasted coffee supply its existing cafes.
The drink menu features espresso-based beverages such as lattes, cappuccinos, macchiatos, cortados, and Americanos, along with flavored options like Madagascar Vanilla Latte and Cardamom Vanilla Latte. Cold offerings include nitro cold brew, Kyoto-style cold brew, matcha drinks, and seasonal specialties. Loose-leaf teas and tea lattes round out the beverage lineup.
Food options extend beyond pastries to include avocado toast, breakfast sandwiches, paninis, wraps, salads, flatbreads, and acai bowls. The cafe also sells whole bean coffees such as Ethiopia Yirgacheffe, Colombia Jerico Madre Laura, and house blends like Jeevan and Nirvana. The expanded menu reflects the company’s focus on pairing specialty coffee with a broad cafe experience.
The Menifee location will mark the company’s first presence in Riverside County. The area is home to national retailers and dining concepts, drawing steady traffic from surrounding residential neighborhoods. This will be an excellent landing space for Avatar Coffee Roasters, offering visibility and access near a major shopping center. Based on public records, interior improvements are expected before opening.
