Mokja — “let’s eat!” in Korean — is a comfort‑forward Korean‑American eatery that’s shaping up within OCVIBE’s Market Hall. The concept is one of two culinary offerings from renowned chef and cookbook author Debbie Lee, announced as the first chef‑partner for the project, at 2610 E Katella Ave. in Anaheim, PR Newswire writes.
Rather than fine‑dining formality, Mokja embraces accessibility and community. The menu will draw from Korean street‑food tradition — think comforting snacks, creative breakfast sandwiches, and specialty coffee drinks — designed for everyday gatherings, quick meals, or casual meetups.
In addition to Mokja, Lee will also open a sibling concept called Pado at the Market Hall. The two eateries are the first to be revealed for the 50,000‑square‑foot upcoming culinary destination. The food hall will be a two‑story, chef-driven spot featuring 21 different culinary concepts and six themed bars, its website explains.
The larger 100‑acre OCVIBE development project is projected to become Orange County’s new downtown district. Along with the Market Hall, new residences, office space, and parks are being built. Across from the Honda Center and the Amtrak transit hub, the area is a bustling zone that needs more eating options to keep up with entertainment.
