Boban, rapidly growing Vietnamese café chain, has announced a new corporate-owned location in the works. The brand will open a store next year in Costa Mesa at 2790 Harbor Blvd, Unit 101, its website advertises, marking another milestone as it partners with select equity investors to expand.

A fast-casual eatery, Boban debuted earlier this year and offers a modern take on traditional Vietnamese baguettes (bánh mì), rice bowls, and specialty beverages like Vietnamese coffee, Thai tea, and matcha lattes. Chad Nguyen, an experienced food and beverage operator, will oversee day-to-day operations as the location’s General Manager.

“The opening of Boban Costa Mesa represents our continued commitment to bringing Vietnamese cuisine into the mainstream dining landscape,” said CEO Elaine Nguyen. “We’re excited to introduce our signature baguettes and beverages to a community that truly appreciates quality and culture. This location reflects how we’re evolving the Boban experience — modern, elegant, and true to our roots.”

Real estate records state the unit is a 1,047-square-foot shell, part of a larger multi-use commercial building called Harbor Plaza. It’s a bustling retail center near Orange Coast College and the intersection of the 405 and 55 freeways.

A grand opening is scheduled for February. It’s one of many current developments; the brand is also planning openings over the next few months in Lake Forest, Chino Hills, Fountain Valley, Monterey Park, and Rowland Heights.
