Pour your own wines and nosh on chef-driven eats next year at this new wine bar and bistro in Anaheim. California Vintage Wine Bistro is about to go under construction at 1925 S. State College Blvd., across the street from Angel Stadium.
Owner Earnest Ross tells What Now Orange County that California Vintage Wine Bistro will open in April 2023. The new business secured the space this summer and is in the planning phase of construction in preparation of a build out.
Pass by the stadium these days and you might see signage up on the ground floor of the Revo apartment building, near the corner with Gene Autry Way. Coming soon to the space is an extra special wine and dine experience that you’ll end up finding yourself at on the regular.
California Vintage Wine Bistro will be a self-service bar, with wine-dispensing tap units that are activated by a smart card. Guests will be able to try from a variety of up to 60 wines in two-ounce tasters, six-ounce pours and wine flights.
The wine list will be Napa-focused, though there will be some selections from regions across the globe. California Vintage Wine Bistro’s executive chef will be developing seasonal farm-to-table menus of small plates, sharables, and small entrees.
There will also be regular events in the space, including wine education dinners and Wine Down Wednesdays, during which bottles will be 50-percent off. This is only a sample of what we can expect at what will surely be Anaheim’s favorite new hangout.
