Ono Hawaiian BBQ, a family-owned fast-casual restaurant renowned for its authentic Hawaiian Plate Lunches and island specialties, has announced another new location coming. A store will open in Costa Mesa at Harbor Blvd. and Peterson Pl., the company website states.

The chain was created by two brothers inspired by the rich culinary traditions of Hawaii. Since its humble beginnings in 2002 in Santa Monica, Ono Hawaiian BBQ has experienced remarkable growth, now boasting over a hundred locations across Northern and Southern California and Arizona.

Embodying the spirit of “Ono,” a Hawaiian term connoting something delightful or pleasing, the restaurant is committed to serving fresh, made-from-scratch meals with island flair. From meats marinated in authentic spices to salads bursting with flavor, each item on the menu reflects the essence of Hawaiian cuisine.

Company documents show Ono Hawaiian BBQ prefers end-cap locations or drive-thru stores that are around 2,000 square feet, in areas with high visibility and a minimum of 15,000 residents within a one-mile radius.
