Coffee Dose will be expanding its iconic brand to open a coffee shop and brunch spot in the desert, it has announced. The SoCal-based company is working towards a spring debut for its latest development, 725 S Palm Canyon Dr. in Palm Springs. Strategic Retail Advisors publicly confirmed the lease signing.
“Desert Dose is officially coming to Palm Springs,” a post reads. “We’re taking over the iconic KFC building next to the Ace Hotel [on the corner of Sunny Dunes Rd + S Palm Canyon Dr] and turning it into a Coffee Dose Brunch Club + Drive Thru. This is our D R E A M location, and we can’t wait to give this incredible space a new life. Thank you for supporting your local caffeine dealer and making all of this possible.”
Jordan Shiley, Director of Digital Marketing + PR, told What Now OC the site is 3,700 square feet and sits on an acre of land that will host a parking lot. The lease has been signed, and the company is in the design phase of the project right now. Their goal is to open in the spring, if construction and permitting go as planned.
This location will feature an all-day brunch menu and Coffee Dose’s signature, seasonal coffee and matcha drinks. It will also serve alcohol, but what kind of drinks is still being worked out. A liquor license has not been applied for yet.
Known for its edgy, cutely crude aesthetic, the specialty coffee chain has a retro, girly vibe and fabulously flashy branding. Founder Jeni Castro celebrated in typical Coffee Dose fashion, posing in front of the building with her team, wearing matching pink jumpsuits, hard hats, and sunglasses.
Coffee Dose has grown steadily in recent years. It spans a Costa Mesa flagship and drive-thru called MicroDose, a Laguna Hills clubhouse, and pink shipping-container café Dose in the Box in Irvine. The business is also building another location in Encinitas, with that site slated for a January/February opening.
