Surf City Sentinel reports that The Kickstand Soda Shop will add another coastal location to its portfolio. Huntington Beach will soon welcome the Newport Beach-based venture, which specializes in soda pop with a twist, at 105 5th St. in the downtown area.
Records from the Orange County Health Department show that initial plans have recently been submitted for the site. A 1,000-square-foot space, this is the second location for the local company. Owner Mike Hancock told What Now OC it’s expected to open this spring.
Kickstand Soda Shop specializes in handcrafted “dirty sodas” made fresh to order. Signature drinks include the Castaway (Dr Pepper, vanilla syrup, coconut cream), Board Shorts (Dr Pepper with coconut cream and raspberry puree), and the Surf’s Up (coconut Red Bull with strawberry syrup and raspberry puree).
Beyond on-site operations, Kickstand Soda provides event packages for parties of all sizes. Options for a mobile drink bar range from the Mini Pop for up to 40 guests to The Soda Bash, serving up to 300 drinks with dedicated baristas.
