Eataly, the renowned Italian gourmet market and restaurant brand, may be planning its first Orange County location, according to a tip. A community member said that an employee told them a Newport Beach outpost is in the works, but it will be a while before residents get a taste.

The tipster said that they stopped in to the Century City outpost recently, and a worker there told them that an Eataly would be coming soon near Fashion Island. They were told this would be a standalone location, rather than being a mall tenant like the business typically is, and open in 2026 or 2027.

Eataly, originally founded in Turin, Italy, in 2007, aims to blend a market, restaurants, quick-service stalls, and learning experiences all under one roof. The brand offers a wide range of Italian products, including artisanal cheeses, wines, pasta, olive oils, and more.

Since its inception, it has expanded globally to over 40 locations, including New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Silicon Valley, according to its website.  The company did not respond to requests for comment on this possible new location.
