EggBred, the fast-casual breakfast and brunch sensation known for its fresh, handcrafted dishes, is expanding its footprint with a new location in Placentia. Positioned at 1085 E Imperial Hwy, this site will replace the former Subway spot at the corner of Rose and Imperial Hwy.

Michael Yi, the owner-operator of the Placentia location, told What Now OC, “We’re thrilled to bring EggBred to this vibrant community. Although officially in Placentia, our location is strategically positioned to serve families across Brea, Yorba Linda, and beyond.”

The new EggBred will offer a cozy and welcoming atmosphere with seven tables, some bar seating, and a small outdoor area for enjoying meals in the Southern California sunshine. The restaurant will feature an array of craft breakfast and lunch sandwiches, burritos, and sides, with coffee, cold brew, and orange juice.

Construction is moving ahead after some initial delays, with the grand opening targeted for early November, pending any further adjustments. The 10-year lease for the space was secured a few months ago, and the team plans to start hiring in early to mid-October.

Yi, who is diving into business ownership for the first time, brings over a decade of restaurant experience. “I worked in restaurants for ten years before transitioning to an office setting,” he explained. “Returning to the restaurant industry as an owner feels like a homecoming.”
