Makenna Koffee Co. is gearing up to expand its empire in SoCal with the addition of another store. According to records from the Orange County Health Care Agency’s Environmental Health Division, the local java business is working on a location at 1888 N Tustin St. in Orange.

Records show that initial plans were submitted on December 17, but they were marked as unable to be approved in late January. Revisions were submitted last week, which is the latest update on the project available online.

Owned by Lance Clauson, the concept describes itself on its website as a “beach-themed coffee shop”. It has current locations in Simi Valley, Ventura, and Santa Clarita, so this will be its first venture into OC. It’s taking over for a now-closed Wienerschnitzel.

Its menu features yummy coffee drinks like Cold Brew, Americanos, and Shaken Espresso, and specialty beverages like the Makenna Freeze, Makenna Soda, Blended Chillers, and energy drink creations. The business also serves breakfast foods and pastries.
