Farmer Boys, the Southern California-based fast-casual restaurant chain known for its farm-fresh burgers and hearty breakfasts, is preparing to open a new location in Perris. Permits filed with the city show the brand is building an outpost at 1769 Ethanac Rd.
Construction is expected to begin by the end of July 2025, with a projected opening in February 2026, Vice President of Brand and Franchise Development John Lucas told What Now OC. Lucas said there is no franchisee for the location yet.
“Farmer Boys is very excited to continue to grow in the Perris community with this freeway-adjacent, high-visibility location,” Lucas said. “We look forward to seeing you there!
The upcoming location will be a newly constructed 3,300-square-foot Farmer Boys restaurant complete with a drive-thru. Steve Shaw of ADN Architects is listed as the applicant on a building permit that is listed as being in the “plan review” phase. Kasey Clark of National Sign & Marketing Corporation is the contact on sign permits.
Founded in 1981 by five brothers raised on a family farm, the corporation Farmer Boys has built its reputation on made-to-order meals, its website explains. It has since grown to over 100 locations across California, Nevada, and Arizona, placing high on notable lists like Top 500 Burger Chains by Restaurant Business/Technomic, Top 30 Burger Franchises by Small Business Trends, and FastCasual.com’s Top 100 Movers & Shakers.
