Redlands is set to welcome a new Krispy Kreme doughnut shop at 27421 San Bernardino Ave. According to the SB Sun, work is ongoing at the site, which is in the Mountain Grove Shopping Center near the interchange of the 210 and the 10 freeways.
Construction began on the project, a 5,206-square-foot drive-thru location, late last year. Signage went up this week, and painting is partially completed, but the parking lot is still unpaved. The brand said that it expects to welcome guests sometime this spring or summer, IE Community News reported.
Founded in 1937, Krispy Kreme has significantly expanded its footprint to have over 350 locations in the United States and direct and partnership operations in 39 countries. California hosts more stores than any other state.
This Redlands location is an expansion led by Awesome Doughnut, LLC, Krispy Kreme’s exclusive franchisee for the region, according to its LinkedIn. Awesome Doughnut was formed as a joint venture with Great Circle Family Foods, LLC, which originally introduced the Krispy Kreme brand to Southern California in 1999 and has since and has received multiple industry awards for its operations.
