A new destination for grocery shopping is coming to Lake Forest, as Fresh Choice Marketplace prepares to open its latest location at 22631 Lake Forest Drive. Much more than just a market, the store will have a full-service deli, bakery, and an on-site restaurant, according to 926OC.
The site, which is a 17,000-square-foot former 99 Cents Only Store, is under construction. It will join the brand’s Anaheim Hills location, which is currently the only one open. However, articles from years ago show there were also stores in Garden Grove and Lomita at one point.
A family-owned business from Palestinian immigrants, the concept is described as a “global marketplace” with an extensive selection of international and domestic groceries, a full-service deli and meat department, a bakery, and a Mediterranean eatery.
It appears the project has been in the works for a while; business records show Fresh Choice Lake Forest Inc. was incorporated with the Secretary of State last June. While no opening date has been announced yet, the location is advertised as “coming soon” on its social media pages.
