Long gone are the days of Paradise Pier at Disney’s California Adventure, which has since been reimagined as Pixar Pier in recent years. California Screamin’ has become the Incredicoaster, Mickey’s Fun Wheel is now Pixar Pal-A-Round, plus numerous other attractions on the pier have been or are being transformed as a nod to Pixar’s most popular films.
But Pixar’s growing presence at California Adventure doesn’t end with the pier. At D23 Expo 2022 this past weekend, Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Chairman Josh D’Amaro announced that Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel will be reimagined as Pixar Place Hotel and it appears that these changes are already underway.
Pixar Place Hotel’s announcement includes a partnership with the team from Great Maple, a “Modern American Eatery” that has become a Southern California favorite for brunch and lunch. Their famous Maple Bacon Doughnuts and Fried Chicken are just a taste of the sumptuous menu items locals in San Diego, Newport Beach, and Pasadena have been enjoying for years.
Great Maple will open a flagship restaurant on the first floor, as well as operate other food and beverage locations throughout Pixar Place Hotel. Serving elevated comfort food classics, Great Maple is an excellent complement to the comfort and joy that many Pixar fans will find in this hotel’s theme.
