A new Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream shop is slated to open in Redlands soon, according to the brand’s website. The award-winning ice cream franchise is working to debut a location at 27471 San Bernardino Ave. in the Mountain Grove shopping center.

The 1,100-square-foot walk-up shop will be located in the outdoor food court area near Farmer Boys and directly in front of the Harkins Theater. It will be owned by franchisee Gagan Batta, who is behind other Handel’s locations in the Inland Empire and owns a Nekter Juice Bar and Slice House franchisee.

“Tradition is what sets Handel’s apart. Our dedication to our customers, quality products, and community is what draws Handel’s as the top brand in this industry. With over 80years in the industry, Handel’s is in an exceptional growth period, and it’s an exciting time for the brand,” Gagan told What Now OC.

Construction is currently underway, with plumbing and framing completed. An official estimated opening date has been set for September 17, although that may shift depending on construction and inspection schedules.
