Luxury steakhouse Mastro’s Ocean Club is set to make a grand entrance at Irvine Spectrum Center soon, according to 926OC. It’s in the process of taking over the old Del Frisco’s Grille, at 772 Spectrum Center Drive, Suite 772.
The local outlet checked on construction recently and saw that exterior work is in progress at the site. A new patio was recently added, and a rear walkway is being paved. There was also a sneak peek at the interior, which shows a dramatic entrance with a striking floor-to-ceiling wine rack.
Plans filed with the Orange County Health Care Agency confirm that development for the fine dining establishment is well underway, with the “authority to construct” granted in mid-July and several inspections recorded since. A timeline for opening is not known, though, and a spokesperson told What Now OC they “are not quite ready to share opening details just yet”.
This Irvine opening will expand Mastro’s Southern California footprint, which already includes restaurants in Costa Mesa, Beverly Hills, Malibu, Newport Beach, Palm Desert, San Diego, San Francisco, Santa Clara, and Thousand Oaks. Nationwide, the chain also has outposts from Scottsdale to Miami to New York.
