Infamous Los Angeles-based trial attorney Mark Geragos is taking over a beloved eatery in San Clemente, state records show. The lawyer is listed as part of a new crepe venture that will replace La Gallete Creperie at 612 Avenida Victoria Ste D & E.

Data from the California Alcoholic Beverage Control shows he is a managing member of 612 Avenida Victoria Liquor LLC. That enterprise is in the process of taking over the property’s liquor license, with the status marked as pending last week.

Well-known for representing high-profile clients including Colin Kaepernick, Hunter Biden, Scott Peterson, the Menendez brothers, and Chris Brown, Geragos also manages an extensive hospitality portfolio. He also owns Casa Tropicana, Sea Horse Resort, and Villa Del Mar Inn in town, Picket Fence Media reveals.

Locals will be happy to learn that a similar establishment will take over for La Gallete, which closed suddenly at the end of last year. Posts from the community show residents were dismayed at the loss of that business after over 15 years of serving South County.
