Hoots Wings, a fast casual concept from Hooters, is coming to Tustin. Franchisee Reza Medali has signed a lease to open in the North Tustin Plaza on North Tustin Street.
Hoots Wings aims to serve “that craveable Hooters flavor a little bit quicker,” opting for a counter service model closer to fast-casual wing giant Wing-Stop than Hooter’s sit down, bar forward approach.
In addition to the altered service model, Hoots features a tighter menu that focuses on “those world-famous Hooters wings, diptastic tenders, buffalo chicken sandwiches, saucy shrimp, and tasty sides (like our superbly seasoned curly fries).” Also, unlike the original chain, the staff at Hoots is co-ed and not required to dress in revealing tank-tops.
Tustin is just a part of Meladi’s franchising push to bring Hoots to the west coast market. The seasoned restaurateur, who also owns a portfolio of Blaze Pizza and Subway locations, has secured a deal for eighteen total outposts of Hoots.
