In-N-Out Burger wants to make some upgrades to its Garden Grove location, Planning Commission documents reveal. The QSR chain has filed plans seeking permission to complete some exterior changes at the property, 9032 Trask Ave.

Original plans show the brand envisions reconfiguring the drive-thru, expanding the parking layout, and constructing a new freestanding outdoor dining patio that is 778 square feet. To achieve the drive-thru and parking improvements, In-N-Out will demolish the long-vacant Mae’s Café building that is next to the site.

City planning staff reviewed the application and recommended approval of the site plan, Orange County Tribune reports. However, the corporation recently asked for a May 1 hearing to be moved to the first week of June, saying a continuance will allow it to make possible changes.

Situated just north of the 22 Freeway, the store is located on the southeast corner of Trask Avenue and Magnolia Street. It operates daily from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, and until 1:30 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, its website shows.
