Board & Brew, a favorite Southern California sandwich shop with fresh ingredients and a relaxed beach atmosphere, is expanding to Irvine. Set to open at 5643 Alton Parkway, the company will take over the space previously occupied by Taquiero Taco Patio, according to community posts.

The new Irvine establishment has an anticipated opening date in the fourth quarter of 2024, with a tentative launch in November, VP of Franchise Lou Franson told What Now OC. Plans for the new location were submitted in early 2024, records show. Revisions were made in April and approval was given to construct in May.

It will be operated by franchisees Sam Abraham and Pete LoPresit, who also run the Huntington Beach and La Habra Board & Brew locations. There are dozens of other shops around SoCal.

With a rich history dating back to 1979, the specialty sandwich shop has become a favorite among locals. Its hoagies, beers, and special sauce, have gained high status with foodies.
