Boban, the modern Vietnamese café concept blending bánh mì, boba culture, and fast-casual dining, is preparing its next expansion, the brand told What Now OC exclusively. The latest city added to its development list is Irvine, though an exact location has not been announced yet.
“Looking ahead, Kim Bui and her investment group are planning to open seven Boban locations across Southern California, with Irvine identified as the next stop,” a recent press release reads. “This marks a major push into South Orange County’s fast-growing food and beverage market, solidifying Boban’s position as a leading innovator in the Vietnamese fast-casual segment.”
Just a few months ago, What Now OC covered when the brand launched in Cypress. It has since announced a number of other developments and is already well on its way to reaching double-digit units with Garden Grove, Lake Forest, Chino Hills, Fountain Valley, Costa Mesa, and Rowland Heights stores also in the works.
The concept is built around freshly made Vietnamese baguettes, signature coffee and tea drinks, and a contemporary café atmosphere. Boban’s official site describes the experience as offering the perfect cup of coffee alongside a freshly made Vietnamese baguette.
