A bakery and cafe based in Beverly Hills is expanding east and will open a third location in Palm Desert in February. Hiring ads show La Provence Patisserie & Cafe is planning to take over the space at 72785 CA-111.

In 1996, Chef Farshid Hakim founded the business in the Pico-Robertson neighborhood. It later won the Los Angeles City Council’s choice for Best Cafe and Bakery, winning a bid for a second location at LAX in Terminal 4.

The Palm Desert outpost will be open from 8 A.M. to 3 P.M. and serve breakfasts and lunches, with salads, sandwiches, soups, and its delicious made-from-scratch bakery treats. The company is searching to hire a full staff for the location.

Hakim has appeared on many media outlets as a respected chef, including Cupcake Wars, Modern Marvels, Urban Bites, Good Day LA, and Morning Show. He opened a Brentwood location of La Provence Patisserie & Cafe in the past as well, but that has since closed.
