Mendocino Farms, a popular sandwich and salad chain, is expanding its presence in Irvine with a new location. State records show that the company is working on opening a store at 13786 Jamboree Rd, Ste 4.

The business applied for a beer and wine license on January 23. The status of that is still listed as pending. It is taking over a space formerly occupied by Corner Bakery, Yelp listings show.

Mendocino Farms’ menu is built around fresh, high-quality ingredients, offering a diverse selection of chef-crafted sandwiches, salads, and sides. The restaurant also offers seasonal specials, grain bowls, and hearty soups. According to Thrillist, the company uses 6,000 pounds of greens each month.

Founded in 2005, it was started by a husband-and-wife team, but TPG Inc. purchased a majority stake in 2017. It has locations throughout SoCal and NorCal, as well as in Texas and Washington.
