Mendocino Farms, a California-based sandwich and salad restaurant chain, is getting ready to open a new location in Huntington Beach at 21016 Pacific Coast Highway, Suite D120.
The restaurant is set to move into the former home of Lemonade at the Pacific City Shopping Center, according to a liquor license application. While an exact opening date has not been announced, the filing confirms plans for a new Orange County location. Mendocino Farms continues to expand across Southern California, adding new restaurants in high-traffic retail centers. Customers can expect the brand’s familiar mix of chef-driven sandwiches, composed salads, soups, and housemade beverages.
Mendocino Farms was founded in 2005 as a family-run business focused on creative comfort food and a welcoming atmosphere. Since then, the company has grown steadily, building a loyal following around its seasonal menu and emphasis on fresh ingredients. The chain operates numerous locations throughout California, including several in Orange County. The Huntington Beach restaurant will add to an already strong regional presence.
In Orange County, Mendocino Farms currently operates restaurants in Brea, Costa Mesa, Irvine, Laguna Niguel, Mission Viejo, Newport Beach, San Juan Capistrano, and Tustin. The Pacific City location places the brand in a popular beachfront shopping and dining destination that draws both locals and visitors year-round. The center’s mix of retail, restaurants, and oceanfront access makes it a natural fit for the concept.
The menu features a wide selection of signature sandwiches such as Not So Fried Chicken, The Farm Club, and Vegan Banh Mi, along with salads like the Modern Caesar and Avocado and Quinoa Superfood Ensalada. Many items can be customized to accommodate vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free preferences. The restaurant also offers deli sides, soups, kids’ meals, and half sandwich combos.
Beyond California, Mendocino Farms is also working on new locations in Scottsdale and Denver. The Huntington Beach opening reflects the company’s continued focus on coastal markets and established shopping centers as it expands its footprint.
