Mendocino Farms is set to open a new location in Huntington Beach, permitting records reveal. The popular fast-casual restaurant chain is planning to open a restaurant at 21016 Pacific Coast Hwy, Suite D-120, according to documents submitted to the city.
Building, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical permits were all filed on August 1. Documents state that the company will alter the kitchen, add new partition walls, and make patio modifications. The project is being overseen by architect Niccola Valerio, and the valuation of work needed to be completed is nearly $500,000.
Currently, the 2,372-square-foot space is home to a Lemonade cafe. No closure plans have been announced by the business as of yet, but a number of Reddit posts from this year show the company has shuttered a number of SoCal stores recently, including Studio City, Pasadena, San Diego, Venice Beach, Burbank, and Irvine.
This new Huntington Beach location is part of Mendocino Farms’ broader expansion strategy that has been picking up steam lately. Founded in 2005, the brand has had a recent growth spurt, expanding to several new states and markets, well on its way to a triple-digit unit count.
