Sourdough & Co., a popular fast-casual chain known for its artisan sourdough bread and handcrafted sandwiches, is preparing to open a new location in Rancho Santa Margarita. According to Ladera Ranch Neighbors, it will open in the Mercantile East plaza, at 30652 Santa Margarita Pkwy Ste H-2.

The location is listed as “coming soon” on the company’s website, which states that the company will be accepting applications soon. Brad Jenkins, the franchisee for the 1,250-square-foot store, told What Now OC that construction started two months ago and the goal is to open in mid-October.  Jenkins previously owned and operated two successful beauty service franchises and has invested in four thriving restaurant concepts.

“I was a loyal customer of the original Sourdough & Co. in Northern California. Now I’m thrilled to bring this amazing concept to Rancho Santa Margarita. I believe it’s not just a sandwich — it’s quality you can taste and care you can feel. Fresh-baked bread, hand-sliced meats, crisp produce — every ingredient matters,” he said.

Signature menu items at Sourdough & Co. include sandwiches, flatbreads, soups, and salads. There are more than 100 locations open across the US, and the brand has experienced significant growth in California lately. Several other SoCal stores are listed as coming soon to towns like Yorba Linda, Fullerton, Chino Hills, Highland, Murrieta, and Placentia.
