Mo-Mo Paradise, popular Japanese hot pot chain, is set to bring its signature shabu-shabu and sukiyaki dining experience to Irvine. County records show that the business is working on opening a restaurant in Orange Tree Square at 5394 Walnut Ave.

The project, led by President Leonard Hayashi and partners Anthony Hayashi and David, marks another significant step in the brand’s growth. The team aims for a grand opening in October 2025, following a construction timeline from March to September, Hayashi told What Now OC.

The Irvine location will continue Mo-Mo Paradise’s tradition of offering an all-you-can-eat (AYCE) dining experience with a variety of fresh meats, vegetables, and boba teas. Additionally, the restaurant will serve beer, sake, and sake/shochu-based cocktails.

“We believe in creating an authentic and memorable Japanese hot pot experience, where quality ingredients and warm hospitality come together,” said Hayashi. “Orange Tree Square is home to incredible flavors, and we’re excited to add to that culinary diversity.”

The Mo-Mo Paradise brand, which began in 1993, has expanded globally with over 20 locations across Asia, including Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam. It has become a favorite in Southern California since the opening of its first location in Rowland Heights in 2016.
