The owner of The Bling Pig and The Trough will be opening a new namesake concept. Monaco Italian Kitchen is coming to Irvine’s Eighteen Main complex, at 2000 Main St #300, according to liquor licensing data.

A liquor license is being transferred to parent company Monaco Kitchen Company, Inc. from defunct Dana Point business The Wine Bistro & Whiskey Bar, data shows. The status of the license is listed as pending as of this week.

Tony Monaco, the owner behind The Bling Pig (in Yorba Linda and Rancho Santa Margarita) and The Trough (in Irvine, Anaheim, and Rancho Santa Margarita), is the owner of the new concept. It will be going into the suite next to Irvine’s The Trough location.

Eighteen Main, the 17,000-square-foot restaurant complex also hosts other eateries like SOL Mexican Cocina, KIT Coffee, Porch & Swing, Izakaya Osen, The Goldfinch, and Maldon’s Bistro. The new eatery will fill a 4,000-square-foot shell with an outdoor patio.
