MOTO Pizza, a West Coast pizza brand known for its thick square slices and creative toppings, is opening a new location in San Clemente at 140 Avenida Pico.

The San Clemente location is scheduled to open in March 2026 inside the long-awaited Miramar Food Hall and Event Center, according to the company’s website. This location will feature dine-in and outdoor seating, ice cream, and a selection of wine and beer. Customers can expect the brand’s signature thick-square pizzas, sides like Black Garlic Cheezy Bread, and rotating MOTO Swirl desserts, all served with the company’s FATTT standard for flavor, appearance, taste, texture, and temperature.

Founded by Lee Kindell and Nancy Gambin in West Seattle, MOTO began as a small 500-square-foot pizza shop after the duo pivoted from running a hostel during the pandemic. Since then, the brand has grown across Washington with locations in Bellevue, Bellingham, Belltown, Edmonds, and West Seattle, plus specialty spots at T-Mobile Park and the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells.

San Clemente will be the company’s first permanent location in Orange County, followed by two additional locations in San Diego later this year. The San Clemente site combines food, events, and entertainment, making it a fitting location for MOTO’s community-driven approach to pizza. The restaurant will feature indoor and outdoor seating and a casual, approachable vibe that aligns with the brand’s ethos.

The menu features a mix of traditional and inventive options, including The All In, Beef Adobo, Mr Pig, Plant, and vegan alternatives. MOTO also offers salads, sides, desserts, and beverages, including craft sodas, beer, and wine. Solo and Shareable pizza sizes make it easy to enjoy a meal alone or with friends.

MOTO emphasizes bringing people together through food and community. The brand works with local suppliers and artisans for produce, meats, and specialty ingredients, ensuring consistent quality across all locations. The San Clemente location represents a major step in the company’s expansion into Southern California while maintaining its commitment to craft, creativity, and connection.
