Audio Stillhouse Redefines Distilling With Sonic Energy
At Stone Groove Stillhouse, music isn’t just background – it’s a key ingredient in shaping the flavor of each spirit. Influenced by different genres of music, the sound influences how the spirit interacts with the wood, creating distinct, genre-specific flavor profiles.
“Stone Groove” is a ’70s slang term for an unforgettable vibe – a fitting tribute to the musical DNA behind the concept. “Stone Groove showcases our passion for music, spirits, cocktails, and food in a first-of-its-kind distillery pub and restaurant,” said Jeff Duggan, who co-owns Stone Groove with his wife, Christa.

Genre Driven Spirits
Stone Groove Stillhouse’s proprietary Musically Mastered™ process is engineered to maximize flavor and character while minimizing harshness and ethanol burn. It results in spirits that are complex, yet smooth, balanced, and unforgettable.
The lineup includes genre-driven spirits such as Jazz Fusion Single Malt Whiskey, Classic Rock Rye Whiskey, Country Bourbon, and Blues Bourbon.
Upcoming releases include Beethoven Moonlight Sonata Single Malt, Hip Hop Rye, and Black Heart Gin, infused with bilberry for a bold finish. A curated retail program lets visitors take home bottled expressions of Stone Groove’s signature spirits, with a line of non-alcoholic offerings coming soon.
Executive Chef Jessica Luevano brings a globally inspired spin to comfort food classics, thoughtfully paired with the distillery’s signature spirits. The menu is thoughtfully designed to complement the drinks.
Innovators Behind Stone Groove Stillhouse
The owners, Jeff and Christa Duggan, are no strangers to changing the game. The couple founded Portola Coffee Roasters in 2011, introducing a new level of craftsmanship and sourcing transparency to Orange County’s coffee scene.
Theorem by Portola, another concept by the couple, blurred the lines between barista and mixologists. It introduced innovations like liquid nitrogen affogatos, coffee mocktails based on distilled coffee, and barrel-aged coffee Old Fashioneds.
That same spirit of innovation sparked their foray into distilling, culminating in the launch of Stone Groove Stillhouse. Stone Groove Stillhouse combines passion for music, sound, and spirits to create the world’s first “audio stillhouse”.
With its sonic distillation and genre-driven spirits, Stone Groove offers a distinctive new destination for music and spirit lovers in Anaheim.
