Nara Thai Kitchen is a new restaurant coming soon to Irvine. The restaurant is under construction at 3931 Portola Parkway at the Orchard Hills Shopping Center, where it will be taking over the former La Sirena Grill space.
Nara Thai Kitchen is inspired by traditional flavors and will offer a fresh, creative and respectful interpretation of Thai cuisine, according to its website. They’ve enlisted chef “Light” Wattanakamin, who has over a decade of culinary experience working at resorts and restaurants all over the world.
The Thai-native is a member of Club Master Chefs Thailand and will lend his expertise as Nara Thai Kitchen’s culinary consultant, as the restaurant seeks to create a menu that balances modern techniques with ancient recipes and flavors.
Renderings of the space itself appear to achieve the same motif, blending clean and sleek design with old-world textures and decorative elements. Stoneware decor and rattan accents will meld seamlessly with neutral colors and simple fixtures.
Representatives for Nara Thai Kitchen confirmed with What Now Orange County that they are aiming to open in November. Additional details about this new restaurant are forthcoming.
