Flat Earth Pizza, a New York-style pizzeria based out of Carson City, Nevada, is expanding to Orange County.

Owner Ryan Walker has secured a commercial kitchen space, at 1750 Newport Blvd k126 in Costa Mesa, to get the brand off the ground in SoCal with plans to expand to additional locations.

Flat Earth Pizza, which is housed in Cloudkitchens, could start slinging pies as early as October 1, 2023, according to Walker.

“We initially planned on opening in San Clemente, but that project is on hold,” Walker said. “We’re excited about the ghost kitchen concept, and if all goes to plan in Costa Mesa we’d like to open additional locations as the opportunity presents itself, possibly Huntington Beach and Oceanside.”

Founded in Carson City in 2017, Flat Earth boasts its “authentic brick oven NY pizza” is made “the way pizza was meant to be.”

Flat Earth Pizza makes its dough fresh daily and even hand-mills its housemade tomato sauce, according to its website.

“You can’t get any better than the old way of doing things,” the site states. “Flat Earth Pizza is made the Old World way. Perfection in everything we do, and that is the only way it should be done.”
