A new café venture will be moving into an old bagel store space in Costa Mesa, according to county records. The business, Ali’s Bagel & Coffee, has filed plans showing its intent to set up shop at the address 2947 Harbor Blvd, a 1,000-square-foot space.

Ali’s Bagel & Coffee has been navigating the approval process with the Orange County Health Department, but multiple submissions have been repeatedly marked “unable to approve” through September and October. The county is currently waiting for additional revisions before the venture can move forward in the space. Previously, the location housed a similar concept that operated under the name Deli & Bagel Cafe.

The shop will welcome guests from 5:30 AM to 4 PM daily. It will be a modern design, owner Ashley Hernandez told What Now OC. They will serve freshly baked bagels, savory paninis, gourmet sandwiches, refreshing smoothies, and premium coffee from Gaviña Coffee.

“As a Hispanic-owned business, we are passionate about infusing our rich culinary heritage and unique flavors into your breakfast and lunch, aiming to bring a vibrant new seasoning to your daily routine,” said Hernandez. “We truly believe, as the saying goes, ‘Life begins after Coffee’.”
