On the cusp of a local hotel renovating and reopening as the Hyatt Regency Irvine, the property is undergoing more changes to add dining options. A restaurant with an undisclosed name will be opening in the spring at the 17900 Jamboree Rd. hotel.
The hotel opened this summer after a $50 million renovation by Hyatt Hotels Corp. A 14-story building, it was previously Hotel Irvine, which shuttered in 2020 during the pandemic. The property was then purchased by the hospitality giant last year.
An American bistro restaurant with a diverse menu and full bar will be open to guests sometime in the spring of 2024, according to the Orange County Business Journal. A pool bar will also open, the hotel website states. Currently, there is a market on-site called The Square with breakfast, lunch, and dinner options, as well as an alcohol menu.
The hotel is Irvine’s largest by number of guest rooms, and is conveniently located near the city’s business district, off of the 405 freeway. The renovation also includes 56,000 square feet of remodeled event space, upgrades to the pool area, and a new Regency Club.
