Irvine is expecting the opening of a new concept called Pasta Viva, set to open soon at 17933 MacArthur Blvd. According to city records, the project is working through the plan review phases with the Orange County Health Department.

It’s currently in the construction process, with approvals granted in September. Inspections happened this week, but building approval is still listed as pending. A timeline for when the eatery will be ready for business is unclear.

The restaurant is backed by owner Dessi Sarabosing, who teased the concept on Instagram, announcing: “Buckle up! PastaViva is coming to Irvine! Freshly made pasta tossed in a 24-month aged Parmesan Cheese Wheel from Italy and more.”

Sarabosing is a respected and accomplished businesswoman, as her LinkedIn profile shows. She also owns Zesty Olive Grill in Laguna Niguel, and founded SheReigns Global and Grace Ventures, organizations that provide resources to female entrepreneurs and strategy and investment support.
