A new location of Popping Yolk Cafe is coming to Brea. Owner Jason Tsai has filed for an alcohol license at 1160 E Imperial Hwy J.

Know for their slogan “Let there be Brunch,” Popping Yolk Cafe began slinging egg forward favorites in Alhambra in 2019. Since then, the concept has expanded to include locations in Pasadena and Hacienda Heights. Tsai, an immigrant and prolific restaurateur, is also behind coffee shop Fika Fika in Arcadia.

The menu at Popping Yolk is headlined by a bunch of creative Benedicts, with options ranging from barbecued pork to chicken teriyaki. There’s Omelet, breakfast-y sandwiches, and quite a few sweeter selections, too, like crispy french toast, waffles, and crepes. To wash it all down, they’ll be bring Brea a full coffee program, along with options for wine, beer, and, of course, mimosas.

The restaurant will be located right by the busy intersection of I-90 and the 57, right across the street from the Brea Mall.
