South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa will also be getting a new destination for quality ramen. According to a press release from the mall, Ramen Nagi will be opening at 3333 Bristol Street sometime in 2023.
Founded in Japan in 2004 by Chef Satoshi Ikuta, Ramen Nagi now operates over 35 locations across Japan, China, Singapore, Taiwan, and the Philippines. Through a partnership with Ko Hospitality, the concept has also begun to make an impact in the American market, with locations springing up across California. However, South Coast Plaza will be the first Orange County outpost for Ramen Nagi, which already has locations in Northern California and Los Angeles.
Ramen Nagi features five different ramen broths that run the spectrum from traditional Tonkotsu to the Italian inspired Green King, that infuses the pork broth with basil and olive oil, and comes topped with fresh grated Parmesan. To go with the bowls, Ramen Nagi also features a tight selection of classic snacks and appetizers like fried Karaage Chicken and gyoza.
Ramen Nagi will not be the only new arrival at South Coast Plaza. Calo Kitchen +Tequila, among other concepts, will arrive in the new year at arguably the premier shopping and dining destination in the region. A Costa Mesa stalwart since the ’80s, South Coast Plaza houses over 250 retailers and 30 restaurants, featuring many world famous luxury brands.
