Palm Springs is set to welcome a fresh new frozen dessert destination this July with the opening of Gelato-A-Go-Go at 190 E Tahquitz Canyon Way. As first reported by Desert Sun, the concept is taking over the former Jus Chillin location in the heart of downtown.

Currently undergoing remodeling efforts, the space is being transformed into a funky, 1970s-inspired gelateria. It will have over two dozen flavors of authentic artisanal gelato, along with espresso coffee, Italian pastries, and more, founder Darren Fishman told What Now OC.

Fishman is a long-time creative director and entrepreneur originally from Australia, according to ShoutOut LA. He is also the founder of Desert Society, a SoCal-based creative agency specializing in advertising, marketing, events, and interior design.

Jus Chillin previously operated the space but recently closed when the company shuttered. What Now OC covered Jus Chillin’s other location on Palm Canyon Drive being acquired by Hot Cookie, a San Francisco-based LGBTQ-oriented business.
