SAJJ Mediterranean — helmed by the Co-Founder and CEO of SAJJ Street Eats, Zaid Ayoub — is opening a location at Lake Forest’s incoming Local Kitchens micro food hall (23621 El Toro Road Suite C), according to the company’s website.

Ayoub tells What Now Los Angeles there is “no set date” for his concept to open and that “no public information is available yet” regarding the status of the food hall.

As for SAJJ Mediterranean, the eatery offers locally sourced produce and Halal proteins that are free of antibiotics or hormones. The brand focuses heavily on authenticity, freshness, warmth, and customization at its dozen+ outposts, a handful of which reside at other Local Kitchens branches.

The menu utilizes a build-your-own method, wherein customers pick from a range of proteins (falafel, chicken shawarma, steak shawarma, shawafel, chicken kabob, or pomegranate chicken) to be placed inside a vessel (pita bread, SAJJ wrap, salad bowl, rice bowl, freekeh bowl, or couscous bowl) before selecting savory & spicy toppings, sauces, sides, and extras.
