After bidding adieu to patrons just three months ago, Salt Creek Grille in Dana Point is set to make a triumphant return. Announcements from the brand on social media have teased a summer reopening for the 32802 CA-1 eatery.

The top-notch dining destination had served South County for nearly three decades before shuttering in January. A team of passionate entrepreneurs led by Jess Walker and Steve Vanderweide is giving the location a second chance.

The menu at Salt Creek Grille can be described as a steakhouse with California-inspired cuisine. With filet mignon and prime rib to delectable seafood options like Chilean sea bass and lobster tail, the restaurant serves quality meals with high-end service.

Formerly owned by Tim McCune, the venue will undergo a minor renovation to unveil a sleek new look that pays homage to its storied past, while embracing modern aesthetics. Designer Eric Hawkey of Hawkey Design is at the helm of the project.
