Los Alamitos will be getting a new go to birria spot soon. Owner Andrew Troncoso says he plans to open Senor Birria at 11151 Los Alamitos Blvd sometime in April of the new year.
This will be the second outpost for Troncoso’s birria centric brand. The original location of the concept is going strong in Downey.
Senor Birria offers a menus stocked full of every possible iteration of the bright red, ever trendy, Mexican stew. Options include classic tacos, tortas, sopes, burritos, and bowls of consome, but Troncoso also offers some more creative and cheese laden twists.
Lookout, of course, for the crispy and gooey quesatacos that have become a hallmark of the SoCal birria boom, but also birria nachos, birria fries, birria ramen, and even a birria based homemade twist on the Taco Bell crunchwrap. Then there’s the keto taco, which does away with the tortilla entirely and replaces it with a shell of crispy cheese.
Senor Birria will be just off the busy intersection of Katella Ave and Los Alamitos Blvd. With a permit on file to serve beer and wine as well, the new location promises to be a go to spot in the area.
